Book 3 of Alex Craft Series
Alex starts her own investigation business. She needs to try and reduce the amount of shades she raises so as not to go blind. So she starts the business with her friend, Rianna and even Roy gets an office.
Her first case is of possible suicides, but she learns they have no memory of the days before their deaths. She soon finds herself trying to stop a dark ghost who possesses people, some turn into Gouls. Alongside this storyline is the difficult relationship with the Winter Queen, her ex lover Falin and of course the soul collector, Death.
The investigation plotline is the most interesting. However, the love life complications has started to feel tedious. And I think the fae angle should be moved on too, there seems to be plenty of possible storylines there. I know you can't always like all the books in a series, but this is a bit early in a series to start getting a bit loose and losing focus. Hope the next book is better.
